Become a Member

Part of the transformation is a very personal commitment to self-discovery, prayer, and reflection.  It is the ministry of Faith to encourage that part and provide guidance and resources to help.

Another important road leading to that transformation can be joining a community of like believers. 

By worshipping together, meeting in small groups to explore the teachings of Jesus, celebrating important events in one another’s lives and providing service to a wider community, we are supported in our own quest to answer Christ’s call.

The Book of Order of the Presbyterian Church USA says:

“Membership in the Church of Jesus Christ is a joy and a privilege.  It is also a commitment to participate in Christ’s mission.”

We invite you to consider membership at Faith…to join us in the “joy and privilege”.

You may become a member of Faith by Affirmation of Faith, Reaffirmation of Faith or Transfer of Certificate.  For some, the decision has been made and now it is a matter of timing.  For others, there are questions, maybe even doubts.  We believe you will know if Faith is the community you wish to join and, if so, when you are ready.

The process is simple.  Call or email the church office and let us know of your interest.  Our pastor will be happy to respond and discuss next steps with you.  Those who are interested are invited to attend a “Discovery Class” which explores what it means to be a member of a church of the Presbyterian Church USA and specifically what it means to be a member of Faith Presbyterian Church of the North Georgia Mountains.  

But most importantly, come see us.  Visit the church.  Come to a worship service or participate in one of our mission projects.  Talk to others who were once where you are today.  

Our goal is not to build numbers.  Our goal is to aid you in the most important journey of your life.
